We love Mandazis π
Give this recipe a go π
-mix flour, yeast and baking powder
-in a seperate bowl mix the remaining ingredients
-make a well in the flour mixture and add the wet mixture bit by bit. Stir everything using a wooden spoon until it becomes difficult to stir.
-knead the dough for about 10 mins until it's soft, smooth and bounces back when you poke it. If dough is too wet add some flour, if too dry add some milk.
-once dough is ready, cover it with a kitchen towel and let it rest for an hour until it doubles in size.
-once well rested, punch down the dough and begin to roll the dough. Have a well dusted surface with flour and roll to about 1/2 inch thickness then cut desired shapes.
-add some oil and heat in a sufuria/pan to deep fry the mandazis. Make sure oil is hot enough before cooking.
-Fry until golden brown on both sides and enjoy π€€ π±π
