After rehabilitation at our various centers, the next step is school/vocational training — but many of our boys risk dropping out because of fees, uniforms, tools and basic supplies. Education is how we break the cycle of street life for good.

We recognize and celebrate efforts of our follow up client (Lawrence Otieno) who is a high school student in his third year. He was among a few students selected to represent their school in an exchange program in Germany for a period of two weeks. The young man will learn more about environmental conservation and organic farming.

Exciting progress ☀️💧

We’re currently solarizing our water pump at Daniel Comboni Vocational Training Center — a big step toward reliable, sustainable water for our students and training programs.

This means lower running costs, consistent water supply for workshops, sanitation, and our feeding program, and a smaller carbon footprint.

Napenda Kuishi Rehabilitation Program is looking for a dedicated *Social Worker* to join our team at Kisumu Ndogo Center in Korogocho.

About the role:
You’ll work directly with teenage boys in rehabilitation — doing street outreach, counselling, case management, group sessions, family therapy, and referrals. You’ll be part of changing lives daily.

*Qualifications:

Minimum Diploma in Psychology, Counselling, or Social Work; Registration/license with relevant professional body is an added advantage; Passion for working with vulnerable youth & street-connected children; Strong counselling, communication, and case management skills; Team player with empathy, integrity, and resilience

Location: Kisumu Ndogo Center, Korogocho - Nairobi

"Adventure day! 🦒

Our Napenda Kuishi beneficiaries from Korogocho Kisumu Ndogo Center had an amazing trip to the Giraffe Center today! Smiles, laughter, and up-close moments with these gentle giants made the day unforgettable.

Big thanks to the Giraffe Center team for welcoming us and giving our youth a fun, inspiring experience outside the center. Moments like these boost joy and hope on their recovery journey. 💛

BOMA RESCUE CENTER

"Nature day out! 🌳✨

Our Napenda Kuishi beneficiaries from Dandora Dumpsite- BOMA RESCUE CENTER enjoyed a refreshing trip to Karura Forest in Nairobi. Walking the trails, breathing fresh air, and sharing laughs together gave everyone a much-needed break and a boost of hope on their recovery journey.

Grateful to Karura Forest for hosting us and to everyone who made the day possible. Moments like these remind our youth that healing can be peaceful and joyful. 💚

We did the first family therapy for our boys at the residential rehab. The objective was to assess family background which is important in understanding acquisition of psychological disturbance of every client.

We embarked on Street work since January and rescued over 50 vulnerable teens/youths.
We continue to assure them that there is a different better reality than the streets/drugs
