Who We Are:
Straight Talk Foundation Kenya (STFK) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that endeavours to bring about social change through advocacy and behaviour change communication, which will result in increased quality of lives and well-being for adolescents and important people in their

lives. Part of the organization’s mandate is to keep its target audience (Kenyan adolescents, aged 10-19, and youths, aged 20-24) updated as far as health, livelihood, and governance issues are concerned and are able to make informed decisions, which will ultimately impact positively on the life they lead. We aim to address most of the challenges affecting the youth while providing a forum for them to interact and discuss these challenges as peers through meaningful youth participation, youth-adult partnership, and consultative stakeholder approach to the issues that are a priority to young people. The strategies we deploy in implementing our communication include Publications, Social Media, Consultative stakeholder interventions, Multimedia Approaches, Partnerships with champions and volunteers, and network with policymakers and government officials. Our Story

Straight Talk Foundation Kenya is a registered adolescent and youth behavior change communication NGO based in Nairobi Kenya. We are a unique platform for youth in Kenya with a nation-wide outreach and successful in providing Kenyan adolescents with a forum for open dialogue on sexuality and reproductive rights related to HIV AIDS, girls' rights, boys’ mentorship and more.

Straight Talk started with the objective to equip young people with information and life skills so that they can protect themselves from high risk situations and remain in control of their own behaviors. The project has contributed to combating the spread of HIV/AIDS, reduce teenage pregnancies, promote safe and responsible sexual behaviors, discourage harmful traditional practices, eliminate sexual abuse and promote gender and human rights awareness around these topics.
