Successfully completed Capacity Strengthening: CSOs in Triple Nexus Approach Training by Life & Peace Institute and funded by Embassy of Sweden, Addis Ababa

The training was aimed at strengthening the capacities of local CSOs to advance the Triple Nexus approach, CSOs at the centre of Humanitarian Action, Sustainable Development, and Peacebuilding efforts.
YAPAD's ongoing commitments to building resilient communities through collaboration, learning, and inclusive interventions bridges Humanitarian, Development, and Peacebuilding (HDP) spaces.

This week, Young Africans For Peace And Development-YAPAD will be attending the 12th Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development in AddisAbaba.

We will be joining leaders, partners, and changemakers committed to contributing and accelerating progress on the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063 across the continent.

Official launch of the Mobility & Movement: Cross-Border Resilience in Moyale Project (M&M:MCRM)!
Today YAPAD, in collaboration with GWEDE successfully undertook project launch and Community Stakeholders' Inception Meeting for M&M:MCRM project in Moyale town, Ethiopia 🇪🇹.

With support from European Commission through Life & Peace Institute, Mercy Corps and Pastoralist Concern, YAPAD will implement an initiative aimed at enhancing gender equality and strengthening the empowerment of women and youth through entrepreneurship skills, advocacy, and leadership opportunities in Moyale, Ethiopia.

Under AMANI MPAKANI INITIATIVE and with support from programme, We undertook Religious leaders-Youth PCVE Conversation forum for 4th Cohort in Wargadud town, Mandera South.
The forum focused on radicalization, the process of radicalization, drivers of radicalization, stages of radicalization, early warning signs, and resilience. The conversation is aimed at enabling young people to develop critical thinking skills, engage in healthy and meaningful conversations while debunking radicalization myths and without falling prey to violent extremist ideologies and propaganda in Mandera County and cross-border communities.

The forum’s aim was to Promote sustainability and collaboration around cross-border PCVE response efforts with aim of building resilient borderland communities and actors in Kenya 🇰🇪 and Somalia 🇸🇴.
