WEAVING PEACE ACROSS GENERATIONS AND BORDERS.
YAPAD undertook a Project Inception and Community Stakeholders' engagement in Moyale, Dawa Zone-Ethiopia. The forum brought together the leadership and administration of Mubarak, Hudet and Moyale Woredas as well as community stakeholders and cross-border partners in Moyale with aim of building stakeholder buy-in and consensus building across Dawa and Liban Zones and the larger Mandera Triangle.
The project goal is to promote Inclusive Community-driven Pathways to Prevent and Counter Violent Extremism, Peace, Resilience, and Stability in Mandera Triangle and Fragile Counties of Kenya.

Under The Mobility & Movement: Moyale Cross-border Resilience Project (M&M:CBRM), We undertook Gender Inclusion, Advocacy and Dialogue Forums for Youth in Moyale, Ethiopia.
The training was aimed at enhancing gender advocacy, inclusion, and reducing cultural and structural barriers to gender equality in Moyale.

YAPAD and Cross-Border Communities appreciate our donors including Life & Peace Institute, Mercy Corps, Pastoralist Concern, European Commission for their support towards achieving this.

Under The Mobility & Movement: Moyale Cross-border Resilience Project (M&M:CBRM), YAPAD undertook Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy Training for Women in Moyale, Ethiopia.
Women traders are key drivers of cross-border trade and household livelihoods and this training was aimed at strengthening women’s entrepreneurship and business management skills to improve their economic independence and resilience.

Successfully completed Capacity Strengthening: CSOs in Triple Nexus Approach Training by Life & Peace Institute and funded by Embassy of Sweden, Addis Ababa

The training was aimed at strengthening the capacities of local CSOs to advance the Triple Nexus approach, CSOs at the centre of Humanitarian Action, Sustainable Development, and Peacebuilding efforts.
YAPAD's ongoing commitments to building resilient communities through collaboration, learning, and inclusive interventions bridges Humanitarian, Development, and Peacebuilding (HDP) spaces.
