💫 Meet our alumna Maureen Njuhi Kuria!
Serving in Kimana, Kajiado County, Maureen actively collaborated with a diverse range of community members in fostering a sense of collective responsibility for development. Among the achievements include:
💡 Establishment of school clubs within two primary schools covering different domains such as agriculture, environment, and basketball. This initiative not only provided students with extracurricular opportunities but also promoted skills and interests beyond traditional academic subjects.
💡 Collaborating with One Child, Maureen introduced a literacy program for children aged 3 to 5 years. This early childhood development initiative aimed to lay a strong foundation for learning and literacy, contributing to the overall growth and cognitive development of young children.
💡 She also conducted training sessions for eight self-help groups, helping them learn income-generating activities. Specifically, she taught them how to create hygiene products, which could potentially contribute to the financial stability of these groups.
It is her unwavering commitment to create positive impact that makes her standout! We celebrate you Maureen. You are a great champion of development in our world today! ✨ ✨ ✨
