CPN in partnership with Kamukunji, Mathare peace club schools joined the rest of the world to commemorate the Int'l Day of Peace 21 Sep. 2025 at EFC basketball pitch in Nairobi.
The event was colourful and engaging with speeches, student-led presentation, patriotic songs/dance etc..which focused on the day's theme; 'Act now for a peaceful world'.
Participants were encouraged that they should not wait but rather help make the world a kinder and safer place...it was also reckoned that our simple acts of Peace go a long way building a peaceful world.

Nairobi People club students participating in CPN's Performing Arts event themed 'Creating harmony through creativity'. The event saw an impressive participation from various community stakeholders & about 200 students accompanied by their teachers & parents. It was a day of embracing diversity & inclusion; building a meaningful relationship between the learners and the community members through collaborative arts, knowledge sharing and having meals together.

Recently KMC-Centre for Peace & Nationhood conducted a Situational Assessment in Mathare & Kamukunji sub counties; 4th-8th August to hear directly from the community the current challenges they face with conflict and violence. The goal was to collect data to inform our Peacebuilding project in strengthening our partnership as well as engaging the broader community in promoting peace.
