It’s not just about learning, it’s about curiosity, laughter, and those “wow” moments outdoors.

We’d love to host schools, families, and young explorers for a memorable visit.

Day two with school teachers

Teachers from across Kenya visiting the WildlifeDirect Field Lab adjacent to Nairobi Park- a center for kids to experience nature first hand, and a place for training our Nature Positive School Club patrons.

Rainy season gave them much exposure to plants and we trained them to use iNaturalist - in 2.5 hours they had logged over 450 specimens representing at least 150 species!!

We will be conducting a wet season Bioblitz very soon. Email [email protected] for a visit and to join a training or a Bioblitz .

Help a Young Boy Walk Again after a Devastating Elephant Encounter.

A 7 year old boy in our community was seriously injured by an elephant on his way to school, suffering multiple fractures. He is now stable and receiving care, but faces a long and difficult recovery.

We aim to raise USD 15,000 to cover his immediate medical care, rehabilitation, a wheelchair, physiotherapy, and to help restore the family’s livelihood with livestock.

Every gift, large or small, will help this child heal and return to school.

Today, we celebrate the incredible diversity of life on our planet and the silent healers that sustain humanity: aromatic and medicinal plants.

From ancient traditions to modern medicine, these powerful plants have protected, healed, nourished, and sustained humankind for thousands of years. Without them, our world, and our survival, would look very different.

This year on World Wildlife Day, we are proud to work alongside passionate educators to create awareness about:

🌱 The importance of conserving medicinal and aromatic plant species
🌱 Their role in healthcare, culture, and biodiversity
🌱 The urgent need to protect their natural habitats
🌱 Empowering young minds to value and safeguard nature

By educating today’s generation, we are planting seeds of responsibility, respect, and resilience for tomorrow.

This beautiful African Paradise Flycatcher, photographed at the WildlifeDirect Field Lab, is just one of the many wonders waiting to be discovered. With its flowing tail and graceful flight, it reminds us how special and fragile our natural world truly is.

From incredible birdlife to hands-on nature modules, the Field Lab offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and see how science helps protect our ecosystems for future generations.

📍 Plan your visit and become part of the conservation story or donate to support our school visits: It costs $250 to sponsor 25 children to visit the Field Lab: https://wildlifedirect.networkforgood.com/projects/58931-saving-africa-s-endangered-species

Whether you are a student, nature lover, photographer, or simply curious about the wild, there is something here for you. Come explore, learn, and be inspired. 🌍💚
