From Kwale School for the Mentally Challenged, to Central Primary in Trans-Nzoia County, to Rumuruti Primary in Laikipia County and all the way to GS GATEGERO Primary School in Rwanda, our learners marked the by planting trees, drawing and managing their environmental projects. In Kwale the students planted 70 different trees and were joined by guests including the Kwale County TSC Director, TSC Human Resource-Kwale County, KWS-Kwale County Education Officer, Head of Security from KWS and Kenya Institute of Special Education student teachers. In Rwanda, learners marked the occasion by planting 50 trees. In Laikipia the learners spent time drawing and colouring while students at Central Primary School continued their ongoing agroforestry activities, nurturing both bean crops and trees as part of their sustainable land management practices. WildlifeDirect is collaborating with over 400 schools across the region and we envision a generation of African children who know, love, and defend wildlife, supported by empowered educators who confidently deliver conservation education and schools that serve as community hubs for environmental stewardship. 🌱🌿☘️🌳
