Somali Students Association in Kenya is a platform that unites all students in recognized institutions of higher learning all over the country: to reason together in major issues affecting many students, come up with development projects and to speak in unison.We are a non-prof it and non- political organization. Since the 1990s,many Somali students have been traveling in many countries around the
globe looking for higher and quality education. There was a clear need to create the Somali students association in order to not only meet students needs, but also to build a bridge between the Somali students and the universities around the world. The main goal that led to the notion of creating this organization to improve and reform the quality of the students’ education. We also offer:
- Seminars to the youth across Kenya; our primary object is to help those students, who live in the refugee camps like Dadaab, Ifo and many others.
- Facilities like books, pens, both text and exercise-books to the Somali refugees.
- Consulting fresh graduates from high school in order to join the best universities that suit to their academic qualifications.
- Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to those who are from back home [Somalia] in order to beef up their English language skills.
