๐Ÿ“ข Call for Applications!

Across Eastern and Southern Africa, women and girls continue to lead bold, community-driven efforts to end harmful practices and gender-based violence but their voices, experiences, and solutions must be centered in regional advocacy and policy spaces.

We are inviting applications for the development of a policy brief that will contribute to shaping stronger advocacy, regional collaboration, and collective action towards ending child marriage, FGM, and all forms of GBV.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Are you a woman media entrepreneur in Africaโ€”or do you work closely with one? Your voice is critical right now.

African Women in Media (AWiM) is conducting a continental gendered mapping survey to better understand the realities shaping women-led and women-owned media businesses across Africaโ€™s creative and cultural industries.
From access to funding, to systemic barriers, to the support systems that actually workโ€”this study is about capturing your lived experience.

โœจ Why this matters:
The insights gathered will power evidence-based advocacy for more inclusive funding models, stronger financial infrastructure, and better ecosystem support for women media entrepreneurs across the continent.

๐Ÿ•’ The survey takes just 20 minutes
๐Ÿ”’ It is fully anonymous
๐ŸŒ Available in English, French, and Arabic

Your participation isnโ€™t just dataโ€”itโ€™s influence. Itโ€™s shaping policies, investments, and opportunities that reflect the realities of women in media.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Take the survey now: https://bit.ly/awimmediamapโ

Letโ€™s build an ecosystem that works for all of us.

As the Women Deliver Conference 2026 comes to a close, Africa showed up with power, purpose, and bold feminist vision. โœจ๐ŸŒ

From demanding bold feminist financing for gender justice, to amplifying youth-led leadership, centering care economies, and strengthening movement solidarityโ€”our voices were loud, clear, and impossible to ignore. We came with solutions. We came with solidarity. We came with a commitment to transform systems that continue to fail women and girls across Africa. ๐Ÿ’–โœŠ๐Ÿพ

Big thanks to everyone who stopped by the FEMNET Booth at ! ๐Ÿ™Œ From HerPower screenings to powerful policy dialogues, your energy, conversations, and engagement kept the movement alive and thriving. It was a space for connection, learning, and collective action toward a more just and equal future.

This is not the endโ€”itโ€™s momentum. The conversations continue, the movement grows stronger, and the work for justice carries on. The journey doesnโ€™t stop hereโ€”letโ€™s keep pushing forward! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ”ฅ
