It is with profound sadness that the Njeri Maria Foundation team, through our Director, Njeri Maria, announces the passing of one of our dearest friends and greatest inspirations, Anne Wangui Migunda.

What began as a celebration of Anne’s 50th birthday a few years ago became the spark that gave birth to the Njeri Maria Foundation Annual Run. She constantly challenged and encouraged us to believe that hosting such an event was possible, and her unwavering faith in the vision helped shape what the Foundation is today.

Anne’s legacy of encouragement, generosity, and belief in others will continue to inspire us for years to come.

We extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched. May God grant you strength, peace, and comfort during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in eternal peace, Anne. Your light will never be forgotten.

Every Thursday at PCEA Thirime, we have the privilege of walking alongside children and families navigating Cerebral Palsy, autism, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

Through our Therapy Thursday Clinics, we provide access to:

✅ Physiotherapy
✅ Occupational Therapy
✅ Speech Therapy
✅ Caregiver Empowerment and Support

Beyond therapy, we create spaces where caregivers can learn, connect, and gain practical knowledge through workshops, awareness sessions, and advocacy initiatives aimed at promoting inclusion and improving outcomes for children with disabilities.

Each week reminds us that early intervention, informed caregivers, and supportive communities can make a lasting difference in the lives of children and their families.

As the Njeri Maria Foundation continues to grow, we look forward to sharing more of our work, impact stories, lessons learned, and opportunities for collaboration. We are keen to connect with like-minded organizations, professionals, advocates, and individuals who are passionate about disability inclusion, neurodevelopment, caregiver support, and community impact.

Together, we can build a society where every child has the opportunity to thrive and every caregiver has the support they need.

Yesterday, Njeri Maria Foundation, in partnership with SEP Kenya, hosted a workshop on Behavior Management for caregivers and families supporting children with Cerebral palsy, autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

The session gave parents a safe space to share experiences around tantrums, meltdowns, aggression, communication challenges, and social isolation while learning practical ways to support their children.

Key discussions focused on:
• Early behavioral signs of autism
• Communication and social interaction challenges
• The impact of home, school, and media environments on behavior
• Practical strategies for managing difficult behaviors with calmness, empathy, and consistency

We also highlighted the importance of positive role modeling, caregiver support, and balanced screen use in child development.

At Njeri Maria Foundation, we believe empowered caregivers create safer and more supportive environments where children can thrive.

Thank you to every parent, caregiver, and facilitator who joined the conversation.
