How many more women? How many more children? How many more families carrying fear before we stop treating violence like a normal part of life?

How many times are we expected to scroll, sigh, repost, and move on?

This conversation is bigger than headlines. Girls deserve to grow up safe. Women deserve to exist without fear. Children deserve protection, care, and communities that show up for them.
RCWG girls are not staying silent. We are paying attention. We are speaking up. Because our lives are not negotiable.

Funding girls is not charity, it’s strategy.

took the stage at Women Deliver 2026 for an important conversation on Resourcing Girls and Young Feminists in East Africa.

Hosted by .fund_ , this powerful session brought together funders, implementers, and community changemakers to reflect on what responsive, flexible, and accessible funding truly looks like for girl-led and young feminist movements shaping feminist futures across the region.

Akinyii shared powerful insights from the ground, speaking on outreach, programme leadership, and the realities of working alongside women and girls to strengthen access, voice, and support.

Because when girls and young feminists are resourced, movements grow. When movements grow, systems shift.

From a Zoom call… to the global stage!!

What started as a conversation online came alive at Women Deliver 2026.

Our very own Christine Wangui sat on a powerful panel discussing “Feminist Futures in AI” —bringing the lived experiences of girls from RCWG into rooms where the future is being shaped.

She spoke on
- How AI is not neutral.
- How algorithmic harms and bias disproportionately affect marginalized communities.
- How girls and young women are too often excluded from the design, governance, and power of technology.
- And most importantly—how grassroots resistance is already happening.

Because if AI is shaping our future, girls deserve to shape AI. Period. 🤖

POV: you put powerful girls in one space and suddenly the world feels different!!

AGS Côte d’Ivoire was giving girls at every table, girls on every mic, girls in every corner just being—thinking, questioning, creating, leading. A whole summit designed by and for girls? Yeah… you could feel the shift. No shrinking, no waiting turns, no asking to be included—we were already at the center.

From “wait, why is it like this?” to “okay, so what are we going to do about it?”—it was all movement, all magic, all us. The kind of space where girl power isn’t a slogan, it’s real, it’s loud, it’s collaborative, it’s sitting across from you at the table building something bigger.

Day 1 at Adolescent Girls Summit (AGS) 2026 happening in Côte d’Ivoire and the energy is already unmatched 🔥

From powerful conversations to bold storytelling, one thing is clear: girls are not the leaders of tomorrow, they are leading right now. Inspired by the incredible session by Project Soar from Morocco, we were reminded that leadership isn’t about waiting to feel ready… it’s about showing up, speaking up, and taking up space anyway.

Too often, girls are taught to shrink, to stay quiet, to let others decide for them, how to behave, how to exist, how to dream. But not here. Not today. Not ever.
And yes… RCWG is in the building!!
Showing up, learning, sharing, and amplifying the power of adolescent girls every step of the way.

This is what it looks like when girls own their power.
This is what it looks like when we refuse to be sidelined.
