As the Kenya comes to a close today at KICC, we’re taking a moment to reflect on two days of conversations, collaboration and innovations shaping the future of healthcare in Kenya.
Save the Children has been proud to be part of these important conversations, sharing our work to strengthen community health, health systems and policy, while advancing better health outcomes for children, mothers and families.
From supporting Community Health Promoters and frontline health workers to strengthening community-based care, immunisation, maternal, newborn and child health, we remain committed to working with communities, government and partners to ensure every child has access to quality healthcare and every mother has the care she needs.
Together, we can build a healthier Kenya where every child can survive, thrive and reach their full potential.

Every day, humanitarian workers step into some of the world’s most dangerous places to deliver lifesaving assistance. They care for the and , support children and families affected by and displacement, deliver essential supplies and continue serving communities when systems around them have collapsed. Yet increasingly, they are being attacked and killed simply for doing their jobs.

With more than 1,000 aid workers killed globally over the past three years, Save the Children Kenya is calling for stronger protection of humanitarian personnel, safe and sustained access to communities in need, and greater accountability when international humanitarian law is breached.

In Garissa's arid landscape, where farming is often seen as a challenge, farmers are proving that climate-smart agriculture can turn dry lands into a source of hope. At the 4th Devolution Sensitization Week, farmers supported through Save the Children Italia's Climate-Smart Agriculture project proudly showcased how innovative farming practices are helping families grow nutritious food, strengthen livelihoods, and build resilience against climate shocks.
From green grams and beans to spinach, sukuma wiki, capsicum, tomatoes, bananas, milk, and Sudan grass, the exhibition highlighted the remarkable transformation taking place at household level. These farm products are improving access to nutritious food, reducing hunger and malnutrition among children, and promoting better health for mothers and families.
The exhibition brought, the "From the Farm to Fork" concept to life, demonstrating how sustainable agriculture is creating healthier communities and a more food-secure future.

Misleading messages can discourage breastfeeding and promote the unnecessary use of infant formula. This World Breastfeeding Week, let's protect, promote, and support breastfeeding by ensuring families have access to accurate, evidence-based information.

Breastfeeding remains one of the most effective life-saving interventions for infants during emergencies. In contexts affected by conflict, natural disasters, and epidemics, breast milk is an infant's food security. It provides safe nutrition, immune protection, and a reliable source of nourishment when access to food, clean water, health care, and essential supplies is disrupted. Protecting and supporting breastfeeding can mean the difference between life and death for the youngest and most vulnerable children.
