🌿 Kenya Environmental Day 2025 🌿

Today, we came together as a school and community to celebrate Kenya Environmental Day in a meaningful way — by planting fruit tree seedlings that will grow to nourish both people and the planet. 🌳🍎

Our students, alongside dedicated teachers, planted several tree seedlings within the school compound, taking part in a nationwide effort to promote environmental sustainability and food security. It was a beautiful sight to see young hands getting dirty for a greener future!

A heartfelt thank you to GreenMade Kenya for their generous donation of mango and pawpaw seedlings. Your support helped make this day not only possible but impactful. 💚

Together, we’re growing a greener Kenya — one tree at a time. 🌱🇰🇪

🌱 Mangrove Restoration at Kipini - A Day to Remember! 🌱

Today, I had the great privilege of joining hands with Kipini Community Forest Association (C.F.A) and the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) for an impactful Mangrove Restoration Exercise along the shores of the Indian Ocean here at Kipini.

Together, through unity and dedication, we managed to plant over 30,000 seeds of the Rhizophora mucronata Mangrove species — one of the key species that protect our coastline, support marine life, and fight climate change. 🌊🐟🌍

I sincerely thank every individual, partner, and stakeholder who showed up and got their hands dirty for the sake of restoring our precious marine habitats. 🙏💚

This is just the beginning — we are committed to doing even more to bring back life to our degraded coastal areas. Looking forward to the next Mangrove planting! 🌿

Together, we can restore, protect, and conserve.

Today was a special day as I was joined by my friends in cleaning our beautiful Kipini Beach along the Indian Ocean. 🌊🌿

We managed to collect a lot of plastic waste scattered along the shore, making a positive step towards protecting our environment and marine life.

A huge thank you to all my friends and well-wishers who made this day a success. Your time, energy, and commitment are truly appreciated. 🙏

I warmly invite you to join us again on 26th July 2025 for our next beach cleaning at the same site. Together, we can make an even bigger impact.

For those who are far but still wish to support this noble cause, you can contribute by helping us with refreshments, gloves, and disposable bags. Your support, no matter how small, goes a long way.

Another Beautiful Day for Nature 🌿🌊

Today was another wonderful day planting mangroves along the shores of the Indian Ocean. These small seedlings may look simple, but they play a huge role in protecting our coastline, restoring marine life habitats, and fighting climate change.

Tomorrow, we continue with beach cleaning to try and eliminate the plastic waste that threatens our beautiful beaches and ocean. I know I can’t finish this task alone, but together, step by step, we can make a great change.

Let’s protect what protects us. 💚🌍

Anyone who feels called to join, your hands and hearts are most welcome!

Help Restore Matangeni school Burned Forest!

Dear friends,

A devastating wildfire recently destroyed parts of our coastal forest in Matangeni comprehensive school, leaving section the land bare and vulnerable. But together, we can bring life back!

This coming long rain season, I’ll be working with students to replant trees and restore our environment. We need your help to buy seedlings. Just $1 (or a few shillings)per seedling can make a big difference!

Be the change! Your support will help us plant, nurture, and grow a greener future.

You can inbox me or send your donation via PayPal: [email protected].

Let’s restore Matangeni forest, one tree at a time!

Yours in conservation,

Back to the Village: Embracing Nature with My Children

This holiday season has been a blessing as I returned to the village with my lovely children. We've spent quality time working in my mother’s vibrant permaculture garden, a sanctuary filled with sugarcane, local vegetables, kale, banana plants, and pumpkins. Together, we’ve planted banana seedlings, weeded the garden, and enjoyed the thrill of harvesting ripe bananas straight from the tree—nothing tastes better than nature’s sweetness!

My mother, Priscah, has created this lush garden on just a quarter-acre of land using organic practices. She relies on manure from her cows and chickens, and even repurposes leftover animal feed, proving that sustainability and productivity can thrive hand in hand.

However, despite her hard work and high-quality produce, finding a good market for her bananas and sugarcane remains a challenge in the village. As a widow, she depends on this garden for her livelihood, but the lack of market access is holding her back.

I’m reaching out to anyone who might have advice or ideas on how to help her market her produce better. If you know of buyers or opportunities to connect her to markets, your guidance would mean the world to us. Let’s help this hardworking widow get the recognition her efforts deserve.

Thank you in advance for your support, and happy holidays from our little paradise! 🌿
