The Seed Trade Association of Kenya (STAK) Congress 2026 will take place on 4th–5th November 2026 at Eka Hotel, Nairobi, under the theme, “Securing Kenya’s Seed Future: Innovation, Farmer Protection, and Food Security.”

As Kenya’s premier seed industry platform, the STAK Congress will convene leaders from across the seed value chain, including policymakers, regulators, researchers, seed companies, development partners, and agricultural stakeholders, to shape the future of the seed sector. The Congress will champion strategic dialogue, promote innovation, influence enabling policies, and catalyze partnerships that advance a resilient, competitive, and farmer-centered seed industry, contributing to Kenya’s and the region’s long-term food and nutrition security.

Discussions will focus on key issues including the Seed and Plant Varieties Amendment Bill 2025, farmer-saved seed regulations, gene editing and biotechnology, digital certification and traceability systems, climate-resilient seed development, and regional trade harmonization within the EAC and COMESA markets.

Through high-level panel discussions, and strategic networking opportunities, participants will contribute to shaping policies, strengthening innovation, and advancing a resilient, competitive, and food-secure seed sector for Kenya and the region.
