Today, we had the pleasure of hosting a team from CARE Kenya at our Association of Grassroots Journalists Kenya (AGJK) offices for an engaging and insightful meeting.
The session served as an opportunity to formally introduce AGJK who we are, our mission, and the impactful work we continue to do in strengthening community journalist and media across the country. We shared an overview of our key programs, such as the AGJK Mentorship Program, the AGJK Conference and Awards, and other activities across our thematic area of focus.
We also took time to walk through AGJK’s organizational structure, demonstrating how our systems and networks support effective program implementation and sustainable growth.
Importantly, the discussion created space to explore potential areas of support and collaboration with CARE Kenya. From promoting gender inclusivity to strengthening capacity, both teams identified shared priorities that could pave the way for meaningful and impactful partnerships.
This meeting marks an important step toward building a strong and strategic collaboration pathway one that has the potential to expand impact, empower communities, and strengthen the role of community media in development.
