What an incredible journey it has been!

We are proud to celebrate that Queen Carol , Fatuma Ramadhan and Ibrahim Zubeir , representing the Diplomats For Health In Resilient Community Dfh-Rc , have successfully graduated from Cool Waters Academy.

It was an amazing journey of learning, sharing experiences, and gaining knowledge on climate change adaptation— especially on heat and floods. We have acquired valuable skills that we will take back to our communities and turn into meaningful action.

May this achievement inspire us to continue advocating for climate resilience, environmental protection, and safer, stronger, healthier communities.

We are honored to have been part of the 2-Day Capacity-Building Workshop on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR): Budgeting, Policies, and Legislation held at Tamarind Tree Hotel, Nairobi this week.

Thank you Marie Stopes Kenya for the invitation and for convening this critical training to strengthen advocacy on SRHR in Kenya.

Diplomats For Health In Resilient Community Dfh-Rc was proudly represented by Mr. Govinda Moses
The workshop equipped participants with practical skills on public budgeting, legislative processes, policy advocacy, and Kenya’s legal frameworks supporting SRHR.

✅ Evidence-based advocacy and building strategic partnerships
✅ Legal instruments: Constitution Art 43, Health Act 2017, Maputo Protocol & more

As part of our commitment, we have developed an action plan for the year, including a Town Hall Meeting with Legislators to push for increased budget allocation and policy reforms for SRHR.

We are honoured to have participated in the Bootcamp organized by Kenya Climate Innovation Center last week!

Over 5 days, we gained powerful skills to turn youth ideas into income, create jobs, and pitch for funding. From business models and lean plans to company profiles and validation, the journey was full of insights and growth.

We proudly pitched our Initiative transforming waste into learning opportunities and environmental impact, while empowering youth with sustainable livelihoods.

Grateful for the knowledge, connections, and inspiration to keep driving youth-led innovation for employment and climate action!

Our societies carry deep layers of trauma. For peace to truly flourish, we must first acknowledge and address these wounds. Healing begins when we create safe, supportive spaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued.

When trauma is left unhealed, cycles of violence and harm repeat themselves across generations. But when we invest in healing, we invest in peace — for everyone, everywhere, every day.

Understanding trauma and its impact is not just personal work; it is collective work. Peace is built when we choose compassion, safety, and care as the foundation of our communities.

Impactful experience at New Pumwani Comprehensive School .

Our mentorship program went beyond activities—it created meaningful change. Together, we:
- Ensured dignity and confidence through the Sanitary pad provision
- Shared mentorship on menstrual hygiene and mental health, sparking open conversations
- Strengthened teamwork and active participation among students
- Built genuine rapport, connections, and lasting partnerships

Lessons learnt:
- Students thrive when given safe spaces
- Collaboration between staff and mentors amplifies impact
- Practical support (like sanitary pads) paired with education creates sustainable change
- Strong partnerships are the backbone of community transformation

Grateful for the energy, openness, and cooperation from both students , staff and volunteer organizations. This was more than mentorship—it was a step toward lasting empowerment.
