KAKAMEGA County
I address anyone who's concerned with matters of the politics of the ODM party in Kakamega County.
We respect the party leadership to the core, there's a reason why the ODM party has a county chair to run and implement the ideas of the party in Kakamega County.
Fact; We can't run the most respected Party like a personal kiosk, we must adhere to the party structure and style of leadership.
Hon. Osotsi is the new interim deputy party leader from western, much respect for you, my friend since those days at ANC party as my sec. Gen.,
Now, congratulations on your new assignment as ODM DPL. My observation now, your approach to resolving issues is wrong to be specific Kakamega chapter, today in the news I watched a clip addressing your county chair through media at a funeral, my thinking, you have Governor Barasa's number to reach out in case of any matter regarding the party leadership in Kakamega as deputy party leader and I'm sure your county chair would have responded respectfully.
DPL, also I think you should not be heard or seem to crusade dis-unity in the ODM Kakamega chapter, the manner and approach is as loud as dictatorship which should not be encouraged in totality.
You should be one to guide and encourage Odm Kakamega under Governor Barasa's chairmanship to continue to exercise the best practices of the Odm party in Kakamega. Also
Consult with all leaders regarding matters regarding the party through your county chair respectfully, Barasa was elected, and it's not right to be little or call out a leader like Governor Barasa who is really displaying doing good for the ODM party going by branding and revamping the ODM party activities MASHINANI.
GENERALLY;
Obviously many will not like his style of leadership today, but must understand that we live in the current and not in the past, we should stop comparing his leadership or want him to lead like others, we all have unique signatures.
Some leaders keep mentioning GVN. Barasa and trying to portray him as a leader who does not respect party leadership or other leaders in the party, I don't know what Barasa is supposed to do to please the never-ending demand of respect expected of him to other leaders, respect is earned not demanded, you can't push down the throat the respect, some times as human we're intelligently born differently, some of us think we're supposed to be praised and worshiped all the time so that we feel respected.
It is time for our leaders from Kakamega to accept that Governor Barasa competitively won the seat, we know it doesn't sit well with some leaders who are still wondering how he got there, Barasa is a strategist and he values all types of strategies given to him and his style of leadership is not a person to dictate, to any leader out here still thinking or pushing the idea of Barasa to submit to dictatorship or praise and worship tune, I'll tell you for free it will never work on Governor Barasa, his intelligent enough to work all leaders respectfully.
BARASA LEADERSHIP QUALITIES;
One of the things I've learned from Barasa, he doesn't like stories, he is a result-based leader, he prefers you pitch your challenges and proposed solutions, if it works for the betterment of Kakamega he acts, he doesn't entertain selfish agendas, he may seem to be a person you can attack anyhow, but he is not weak, he is just not quick to react guy, he weighs and responsibly.
To work with Barasa is simple, delivery of your duties and not stories. I noticed one of the major habits or behaviors in him is that many people don't understand and repeatedly mistake him for an attitude, if you are a scandalous person, rumor-mongering, sycophant, or not honest, he will drop you and ignore you at all costs.
Those of us who have worked with him before he became governor know him better, by any chance if he sees any darkness in you, he will definitely avoid you.
Maybe this is why some leaders in Kakamega feel threatened by his style and ways of how he's handling them.
