The 4th PACT International Conference, held in Narok County, Kenya from August 26th to 28th 2025, brought together indigenous representatives from Narok,Kajiado and Samburu to discuss Indigenous-led Research and Education.
During this 3 day conference we learnt the role of indigenous languages and it is important in preserving cultural knowledge and ensuring that research reflects realities and reasons why it is important for communities to lead their own research.
The conference also highlighted how locally led action is undertaken where delegates visited Enkare Nairowua, a community where ILEPA has partnered with residents to implement different community projects.
