Eastern Africa Association for Palaeoanthropology and Palaeontology EAAPP brings paleoanthropologists and paleontologists working in Eastern Africa together for scientific exchange and reporting on research findings.

Membership is open to paleoanthropologists and paleontologists working in Eastern Africa (Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibuti, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi). The first objective of the society is to bring scholars working in this region together for scientific exchange and reporting on palaeoanthropological and palaeontological research findings. To this end, we plan to hold bi-annual conferences with a

n emphasis on making Eastern African and foreign scholars working in Eastern Africa aware of each other's research, as well as addressing issues affecting all researchers in Eastern Africa such as policy regarding research requirements, collections management, and fieldwork ethics. The second objective of the society is to raise funds for Eastern African scholars to conduct field and laboratory research within Eastern African countries.
