Riziki Source "Turning opportunities into employment" Riziki Source is a social enterprise enabling access to job opportunities for persons with disabilities in Kenya.

We facilitate workplace diversity, disability inclusion and linkage to over six Million people with disabilities in Kenya who have particular skill sets, currently untapped for recruitment, as a value-proposition for companies, organizations and society. We are experts in workplace inclusion of persons with disabilities and embrace a two sided, individual focused approach for our clients and partners. Riziki Source offers disability mainstreaming training for companies and organizations while supporting them throughout the process of employing a person with a disability on any disability- related support needs. We provide job relevant skills training for applicants on our platform to meet the needs of companies and organizations. As a social enterprise, Riziki Source is bridging the gap between the job market in Kenya and an overlooked educated and skilled part of the workforce. With our approach, we help both public and private companies and government institutions meet the implementation of the 5% regulation that requires them to reserve job opportunities for persons with disabilities. Riziki Source is in Kisumu for the Nyanza Regional Business and Investment Summit 2026, representing the Unlocking Opportunities Project and ensuring that persons with disabilities are part of conversations shaping business, investment and economic opportunities in the region.

As part of our participation, 30 persons with disabilities have been supported to attend the summit, creating space for them to network, exchange ideas, connect with businesses and explore opportunities that can contribute to their economic empowerment.

Inclusion means more than having a seat in the room. It means ensuring that persons with disabilities are present, heard and able to participate meaningfully in spaces where opportunities, partnerships and decisions are being shaped.

From conversations with business leaders and investors to peer networking and idea sharing, the summit is creating valuable connections, and reminding us that talent and entrepreneurship can be found everywhere when barriers to opportunity are removed.

For many Persons with Disabilities, securing quality education, let alone finding a place in the job market, is an uphill battle filled with systemic barriers and unequal opportunities. Breaking through these obstacles to build a career in the creative industry isn't just difficult; it takes immense resilience.

That is why this milestone is such a big deal!

From realigning personal goals to mastering market-relevant professional skills, these changemakers have successfully completed Phase 1 of the Ubunifu Lab training and are ready for upcoming job and internship placements.
