We facilitate workplace diversity, disability inclusion and linkage to over six Million people with disabilities in Kenya who have particular skill sets, currently untapped for recruitment, as a value-proposition for companies, organizations and society. We are experts in workplace inclusion of persons with disabilities and embrace a two sided, individual focused approach for our clients and partn

ers. Riziki Source offers disability mainstreaming training for companies and organizations while supporting them throughout the process of employing a person with a disability on any disability- related support needs. We provide job relevant skills training for applicants on our platform to meet the needs of companies and organizations. As a social enterprise, Riziki Source is bridging the gap between the job market in Kenya and an overlooked educated and skilled part of the workforce. With our approach, we help both public and private companies and government institutions meet the implementation of the 5% regulation that requires them to reserve job opportunities for persons with disabilities. Hiring persons with disabilities can feel uncertain for many employers. There are questions about productivity, costs, accommodations, and even “fit.” But what if those fears are not only unfounded, but also blocking us from accessing some of the most loyal, creative, and resilient talent in the job market?

In this article, we break down the real concerns that employers often have when considering persons with disabilities, and show how these fears can be turned into confidence with simple but intentional steps. We also share what Riziki Source is doing to change the narrative, to move from “risk” to opportunity, and from exclusion to inclusion by design.

If you’re a leader, HR professional, or organization that wants to build a truly diverse and inclusive workplace, this is a conversation you can’t afford to skip.

Deaf Awareness is not only about awareness, but also about respect, access, and inclusion.
Jasraj Singh, shares how he discovered Riziki Source, applied through Talanta Bridge, and started his internship with us.
