It has been a busy week, and what a great way to conclude it in Homa Bay County.

On Sunday, 26/4/2026, the Homa Bay County Boda Boda Association of Kenya Branch Office hosted the PS for Interior, Dr. Raymond Omollo, in a meeting organized by the National Executive Chairman, Kevin Mubadi, HSC, alongside the Homa Bay County Chairman, Mr. Dede, and County Coordinator Bruce.

Among the leaders who accompanied the PS were the area Member of Parliament and Lang’ata MP, Jalang’o.

The event brought together over 1,000 boda boda riders drawn from all the sub-counties in Homa Bay. Key issues discussed included enhancing security within the sector and empowering boda boda SACCOs to improve riders’ livelihoods.

One of the major highlights from the PS was his commitment to plan an empowerment program for all boda boda SACCOs in Homa Bay County. Additionally, he announced amnesty for motorcycles currently held at police stations over petty offences, directing that they be released immediately to their owners so that riders can continue with their daily economic activities.
