Tanzania Scouts Association - TSA has completed the WOSM Global Support Assessment Tool (GSAT), meeting the requirements for certification.πŸŽ‰

This achievement highlights Tanzania’s strong progress in financial management, good governance, and quality Scouting. The active involvement of young people in the assessment process also demonstrates the Association’s commitment to youth participation in key National Scout Organization processes.

Launched in 2014, GSAT helps National Scout Organizations assess their strengths, identify areas for improvement, and align with international best practices in governance and quality Scouting.

🌱 Angel, a young Scout, shares how the Food for Life project has helped her learn sustainable farming through organic gardening.

In the video, she explains how Scouts are using natural methods, including rabbit urine as organic fertiliser, to grow food in a way that supports healthier communities and protects the environment.

Through practical learning, young people like Angel are gaining skills they can use at home, in their schools, and in their communities.

A strong step forward for Scouting in Nigeria! πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬. From 21 to 24 May, the Scout Association of Nigeria brought together over 30 national leaders in Abuja for a GSAT assessment and strategic planning workshop facilitated by World Scouting.

The sessions supported TSAN in reflecting on key areas, including governance, strategy, the Youth Programme, Adults in Scouting, financial management, and communications, while shaping clear priorities for the next nine years.

By aligning its strategic plan with the Strategy for Scouting, Nigeria is strengthening its long-term growth journey through clear priorities, strong governance, and a shared vision for growth.

🧩 What makes a space feel safe for young people?

πŸ’¬ No mocking?
πŸ‘‚ No interrupting?
🀝 Respect for every voice?

Creating safe spaces is the first step to meaningful dialogue, but it doesn’t stop there.

🌍 Today, we are spotlighting the 10 Principles of Dialogue, a powerful tool to help young people connect, understand, and grow together.

Which one do you already practice? Which one challenges you?

✨ Remember: Safe dialogue starts with ground rules created with young people, not for them. Learn More- https://www.scout.org/news/how-introduce-principles-dialogue
