🌍 A world led by youth starts with meaningful youth participation.

Tanzania Scouts Association has completed a youth-led review of its Youth Forum Guidelines, with young people engaged throughout the process, from consultation and drafting right through to validating the final framework.

The process highlighted important lessons on inclusion, accountability, intergenerational collaboration and creating clear pathways for young people to participate and lead.

💡 The key lesson for NSOs: Meaningful youth participation goes beyond having young people in the room. It means creating the structures, support and opportunities for them to contribute, influence decisions and lead alongside adults.

Three participants from three National Scout Organizations successfully completed a two-week-long On-the-Job Training programme at the Africa Support Centre in Nairobi.

The training aimed to strengthen the capacities of NSOs by equipping members of their leadership structures with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to effectively manage and support the operations of their organizations.

Throughout the programme, the participants undertook a series of training sessions and gained hands-on experience in key areas related to the effective management and development of NSOs.

The participants were Melese Zewdu Teketel from the Ethiopia Scout Association, Ososanya Martins Idowu from the Scout Association of Nigeria, and Muandingi Ndawedwa of Scouts of Namibia

🌍⚜️The Mauritius Scouts Association has recently completed its GSAT assessment, along with the induction of the new NSO leadership team. This important milestone strengthens organisational capacity, promotes good governance, and supports continuous improvement in delivering quality Scouting.

The GSAT assessment and the induction were possible through the generous support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in partnership with World Scouting, under the Messengers of Peace Fund. 🕊️
