Day 2 of the IRI Youth Cohort – Youth Engagement for Sustained Reform Through Political Parties program was a great moment of engagement, learning, and unlearning.
Together with IRI and Youth Plug, we explored leadership processes and highlighted the importance of political party leadership in decision-making and its broader influence. The sessions also brought out key youth issues and challenges, emphasizing the need for stronger youth inclusion and participation within political parties.

📍 Day One – IRI Youth Cohort Program

Today marks the beginning of Day One of the three day engagement under the IRI Youth Cohort – the Youth Engagement for Sustained Reform Through Political Parties program. The initiative, supported by the (IRI) in collaboration with key stakeholders such as the (ORPP), brings together young leaders committed to strengthening democratic governance and advancing reforms within political parties.
The program provides a valuable platform for youth to engage in dialogue, share experiences, and build capacity on issues related to political participation, accountability, and inclusive governance. As part of Sustainable Youth Network–Kenya (SYN-K), we are honored to join fellow youth leaders in exploring ways young people can contribute to sustained reforms within political institutions and democratic processes.
Looking forward to the discussions, learning, and collaboration that the next two days will bring as we collectively work towards stronger and more inclusive political systems.

Kitale Film Week is revolutionizing Kenyan cinema by empowering youth voices nationwide through immersive competitions and workshops tied to Sustainable Development Goals like climate action, quality education, gender equality, reduced inequalities, peace and justice, and partnerships for progress.
With SYN-K as a partner, the festival ignites conversations across Kenya's diverse communities from urban hubs like Nairobi to coastal and rural networks via mentorship programs, collaborative film projects, and dynamic public forums. Emerging filmmakers gain hands on skills to tackle national challenges, forging lasting connections and inspiring collective action through storytelling that resonates far beyond the screen.
Join us for another season, and be part of the movement!

Today, our Director had the honor of joining Nambale Young Community Champions during their first Annual General Meeting (AGM). 🎉
It was an inspiring moment of reflection, vision-setting, and collective commitment as the youth leaders reviewed their journey, strengthened their structures, and charted a clear path forward for community impact. We celebrate this important milestone and applaud the young champions for stepping up, organizing, and taking charge of their future through unity, leadership, and service.
Together, we continue to empower youth-led solutions for sustainable community development.
