Today Pledge for Progress was privileged to join fellow CSOs from Kenya and Tanzania at the same table, united by one goal: ending cross-border FGM and SGBV. 🇰🇪🤝🇹🇿

It was powerful to share strategy, learn from each other, and commit to action together.

Expanding Cross-Border Collaboration to end FGM.
We participated in the Naret Intoiye CBO Cross-Border Dialogue on FGM under the Future for Binti Project, the forum brought together stakeholders from Kenya and Tanzania.

Mr. Sam S. Nkitoria shared insights on the EAC FGM Bill & highlighted how Pledge for Progress Safe Fields Initiative is promoting women's and children rights in the agricultural sector.
Together we will continue to champion a future where every girl and woman lives free from violence and harmful practices.

The Twelfth Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-12), held from April 28–30, 2026, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, focuses on accelerating implementation of the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063 with under five years left to meet the global goals. The overall objective of the twelfth session of the Forum is to conduct a regional follow-up and review of progress made, facilitate peer-to-peer learning and advance transformative and coordinated actions to speed up progress on the Sustainable Development Goals and Goals of Agenda 2063 with a focus on strategic objectives of its second Ten-year Implementation Plan. Pledge for progress has been keen on following up and translating SDGs at the local communities by combining individual and community efforts in realizing these goals.
