We thank Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK) for this award of certificate. We were happy to be part of the conference and the important conversations about the media in Kenya. We believe in strong collaboration among media stakeholders. We called for more robust and inclusive conversations among media stakeholders in confronting the challenges facing journalists and media outlets. We talked about the need for more responsibility among journalists in the use of the digital spaces - digital hygiene, to mitigate against the dangers associated with the spaces and as part of ethical conduct.

Regional outreach: Today, we did a sensitization meeting for young journalists, including students at universities and colleges in Nakuru studying Journalism. The session focused on the current media landscape and the role of KCA within the industry. This outreach is part of our preparations for the implementation of a project in Nakuru County which will train journalists on how to mitigate the effects of cyberbulling ahead of the elections and generally in their daily work. The sensitization was led by our Nakuru member and champion Kate Vobic. We welcome young journalists to join the Association.
