About Today: We participated in the launch of a new policy paper by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Kenya.

The report tracks the state of human rights defenders and the pressure they face across the country, both offline and online.

Our trustee, Tina Alai, spoke about the need for extra caution as the country heads toward the 2027 elections.

She stressed that defenders operate in an environment where scrutiny is rising and risks are growing, which calls for steady vigilance and stronger support systems.
