The organization officials have been working for the communities for a number of years. The thematic Areas which have been covered broadly are: - Capacity building in Social-Economic development, Women and Children Rights and Health issues. In addition to the above activities, the officials have been engaged by other Organizations in Project work, Water and Sanitation, Research/ Project Assessment

To be in the forefront in helping Women and Youth to improve in Social-Economic and Health issues through:-
Research and capacity building for community based organizations. Training and educating health workers for their onward dissemination to the communities. Training and educating Women, Youth, Men and Government Officers on Management, Leadership, Strategic Planning, Project Audit, Evaluation and Control and Budgeting. Impacting knowledge and encouraging action on reproductive health issues. Networking with other organisations with the same objectives as ours. Train women and youth on their legal rights. Educate and train on ways and means of fighting HIV/AIDs. Training the community on Water and Sanitation, Agriculture-better methods of farming, emphasising on organic produce

Objectives
The main purpose of the organization is to serve both in urban and rural development and capacity building initiative both in Kenya and on the African Continent in the following areas:
Income generating programs for both women and youth. Capacity building through training
A revolving fund to enhance small scale farmers and business activities. Environment conservation and upgrading. Governance and human rights. Link members to external markets. Arts and Education. Improvement of Information Technology. Water Projects for the purposes of irrigation. Water and Sanitation. Collaborate with well-wishers to support projects. Improvement of health conditions. General social / economic development including agriculture, small business entrepreneurs and capacity building. The focus of WAYAD will be on areas such as: Water and Sanitation, health, knowledge enhancement, educational advancement, training and skill development, educate, establishment of a revolving fund, capacity building to improve on oneself and enhance employment opportunities, individual and group advancement.
