As UNAGSA representatives under the IUNCBD delegation, we participated in preparatory sessions ahead of the CBD SBI-7 2026 Convention.

The day focused on understanding the SBI agenda, tracking key discussion items ahead of COP18, and strengthening our knowledge of biodiversity negotiations. We also joined the CBD Women’s Caucus at UNEP, where discussions highlighted equality, inclusivity, capacity building, and the recognition of women, youth, and Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs).
It was a day of learning, mentorship, and building our capacity to contribute to global biodiversity policy through an anthropology and gender lens. 🌱✨
