To deliver lifesaving assistance, care for the sick, evacuate people from danger and support communities affected by crisis, the Red Cross Movement teams need safe access to where help is needed most.
Humanitarian workers are not targets.

People affected by armed conflict must not be denied access to lifesaving assistance simply because humanitarian workers cannot safely reach them.

States and parties to armed conflict have a responsibility to protect humanitarian personnel and ensure they can carry out their work safely, effectively, and without obstruction.
