🌍 DAY OF THE AFRICAN CHILD 2026 💧🚰🧼

16th June 2026, Scouts proudly participated in the Day of the African Child Celebrations organized by the Roysambu Deputy County Commissioner's Office under the State Department for Children Affairs, held at Mahiga Primary School, Kahawa West, Nairobi County.

The event brought together over 3,000 students and various organizations dedicated to promoting children's rights and welfare. Activities commenced with a colorful procession from Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) to Mahiga Primary School.

This year's theme, "Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)", emphasized the importance of ensuring every child has access to clean water, proper sanitation facilities, and hygiene education for a healthier and more dignified future.

As Scouts, we remain committed to nurturing responsible citizens, promoting environmental conservation, and supporting initiatives that enhance the well-being of children and communities.

Together, let's champion a future where every child enjoys safe water, good sanitation, and healthy living conditions.
