How Important is First Aid Training?

First Aid Training courses cover a variety of essential, life-saving skills, teaching us the correct techniques and procedures required in order to respond quickly when faced with emergency situations. Typically, first aid training courses will be carried out through a combination of practical learning and theory-based learning in order to fully prepare you for responding to a real-life emergency situation. Here at , we provide a variety of first aid training courses, ranging from Sports First Aid Courses to Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. At some point in our lives, most of us will take part in a first aid course or workshop and the skills we learn are often amongst the most valuable we will ever learn. Failure to act quickly when faced with a medical emergency can often be a contributing factor to the severity of the injuries sustained by the victim. As such, knowing basic first aid is essential.

The Standard First Aid Course is a 17-hour course covering a myriad of first aid topics, from treating minor bleeding to emergency procedures such as Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and operating the automated external defibrillator (AED). Treatment techniques are taught through theory lessons, practical sessions, and case studies.

1. Essentials of First Aid
2. Unconscious Casualty (Non-Cardiac Arrest)
3. Respiratory Problems
4. Shock, Bleeding and Wounds
5. Musculoskeletal Injuries
6. Burn Injuries
7. Other First Aid Knowledge
