𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝟰𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲: 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗲
🌍 With support from the 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱, Nyake Elem Yvette Cathy of Scouts du Cameroun led an inspiring project empowering survivors of the Mbankolo landslide, street children, and young girls.
Through Food4Life, survivors received immediate food assistance to meet their basic needs during the most critical period of recovery. Beyond food distribution, the project also provided psychological support, recognizing that healing is not only about physical survival but also about restoring hope and dignity.
By addressing both nutrition and mental well-being, Food4Life not only helped families recover from the disaster but also contributed to the longer-term fight against food insecurity in Cameroon. This project stands as a testament to how Scout-led initiatives can respond swiftly and compassionately to humanitarian crises, ensuring that no one is left behind.
📌 The initiative produced 𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗷𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝟮𝟬𝟬 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗮𝗽, 𝟱 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗸𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 and secured 𝟰,𝟬𝟬𝟬𝗺² 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴, while engaging 230+ young people.
This is how youth-led innovation drives community resilience and sustainable change. 💡
