It started as an idea and a volunteer program by a group of dedicated students who carried out mentorship programs for kids in schools in August 2015 and was formally registered in July 2015 as a group in ijara sub county. The organization is dedicated to alleviating the challenges encountered by pastoral community. Women and children are the most vulnerable members of the society and little effor
t is being done to alleviate their suffering although some NGOs are doing great job. As an organization in ijara we believe we can support these important members of our society by giving them shoulders to lean on and somewhere to turn on for help when they feel they need help. We also believe that children needs are special and unique and as such special avenues should be created for them to combat their various problems. As Risala which is at the grass root and aware of the daily challenges of our youth and children face and dangers they are exposed to, we are highly motive to build partnerships with stakeholders and innovate on new ways to address the societal obstacles women and youth are facing. This will be achieved through partnering with stakeholders who are currently on the ground helping these groups and by focusing on new innovative ways to minimize gender imbalance and lack of opportunities for youth .Our main focus is to make sure every person in the pastoral community has skills to empower him/herself. We are focused to work and achieve our mission.
