During our recent Training session 🔥

Under our Advocacy for Peace, Women Rights and Leadership in Political Spaces program with Foundation, we challenged biases head-on.

We asked: Linet, 26yrs, Matatu Conductor, Form 4, Sacco Secretary, wants to be MCA. Would you vote for her? Why?

The conversations that followed were honest, unfiltered, and powerful. From “she lacks education” to “she has leadership experience and understands hustlers” — we unpacked what leadership REALLY means beyond stereotypes.

At YIKE, we believe leadership is not about your CV, it’s about your courage, service and vision. Every woman deserves a chance.

It was a day of impact. It was fun. And it brought the community together. ⚽️

This past Saturday, 29th August, we showed up at Why Not Grounds, Mashimoni — Mathare — for KICK FOR PURPOSE.

Playing football, kicking drugs.

From the first kick to the final goal, it was more than a tournament. It was laughter on the sidelines, kids watching their big brothers play, neighbors cheering, and young people choosing sports over drugs.

Thank you to MCADO for leading this and to YIKE - Youth Initiatives Kenya for supporting. To every team that laced up, every volunteer, every mama and youth who stood in the sun to cheer — asante sana.
