Positive Life Kenya

Positive Life Kenya Our vision is to see healthy and empowered communities living with hope and equal opportunities.

Positive Life Kenya is a non-governmental organization that works with vulnerable communities affected by HIV and AIDS in marginalized areas of Mlolongo, Athi River and Lukenya Hills. Currently, Positive Life Kenya runs two schools, one in Kicheko slum and another in Lukenya Hils, serving more than 180 children ages 3 to 14. One of its schools is in the process of becoming a sustainable boarding f

acility and rescue center for children that come from extremely harsh backgrounds. Through its Women Empowerment Centre, the organization provides skills-based training to women in the community including those who are HIV positive. Women learn bead-making, tailoring, dressmaking, entrepreneurship and microfinance which enable them to be financially stable

In addition, Positive Life Kenya supports the community at large through home visits, counseling sessions, care and prevention of HIV, health services and advocacy for at-risk and impoverished women, children, caregivers and youth.

At Kiotani Farm, our dedicated volunteers and students from the PLK TVET Permaculture Program work together to grow nutritious food while learning sustainable farming practices that benefit both people and the environment.

Every harvest is a step toward food security and sharp skills in the agricultural sector.

🤝 We welcome volunteers, partners, and supporters to join us in cultivating a more sustainable future. Get in touch and be part of the change!

At Positive Life Kenya, we believe every child deserves access to healthy meals and the opportunity to learn where their food comes from. Through our farm, we are creating lasting solutions for nourishment where our children consume the food that we farm in Kiotani. Literally farm to table 🤗

We cannot do it alone. We welcome individuals, organizations, schools, businesses, and development partners who share our vision of sustainable food systems and improved nutrition outcomes. Join us in creating a lasting impact.

📩 Interested in collaborating, supporting our farm initiatives, or partnering with us? Reach out and let’s create lasting change together.

Happy Madaraka Day!

Today we celebrate self-governance and the journey toward a stronger nation. As we reflect on freedom, let us also recognize the importance of creating communities where everyone feels safe, supported and empowered to prioritize their wellbeing.

Today at Faraja, our interns psychologists and community development officers facilitated a group therapy session focused on mental wellness. Through open conversations, shared experiences and support, participants were reminded that mental wellness is just as important as physical wellness.
Healing begins when people feel seen, heard and supported.

It’s mental health awareness month, and we are here to remind you that it’s okay to not be okay. Life can throw at us heavy days and quiet battles which often overwhelm us. Healing becomes lighter when it is shared. Check in on your friends and community, and remember that you matter.
At PLK, we believe in creating safe spaces where our community can pause and be seen with no judgement. If you need support reach out to us.

Some of the best moments at Tumaini School happen outside the classroom.Watching the kids and teachers play and enjoy being together is always a beautiful reminder that learning also happens through joy and feeling safe enough to just be a child.
Reach out to us today to support any of our school programs, from sponsorship to the feeding program. We would love to hear from you.

It’s mental health awareness month. In Kiotani, wellness is part of everyday life.Through dance, yoga, movement and moments of calm, our students are learning the importance of caring for both their minds and bodies. We believe they thrive best in environments where they feel free and supported.
