Today we successfully kicked off a 2-day Ni Wajibu Wetu Conference that brought together civil society, development partners, artivists, youth leaders, and human rights defenders for a national conversation on democracy, accountability, and human rights in Kenya.
The conference is part of the Wajibu Wetu; Jumuika, Sikika! close out activities aimed at reflecting on the programme’s legacy while strengthening civic action.
Speaking at the event, the Head of the Kenya Development Cooperation Section at Embassy of Sweden in Nairobi, Marie Ottoson reaffirmed Sweden's commitment to working alongside Kenyan partners to advance human rights, democracy, gender equality, the rule of law and inclusive development.
The convening will culminate in the premiere of the 'Ni Wajibu Wetu Docu-Film', celebrating citizen action and community-led change.
