FKF / CAF D REFRESHER COACHING COURSE – AUGUST 2026

Are you a CAF D grassroots coach looking to refresh your knowledge, sharpen your coaching skills and learn from fellow coaches?

MYSA invites all CAF D grassroots coaches to a 3-day refresher coaching course at MYSA Komarock Ground.

📅 Dates: 24th – 26th August 2026
📍 Venue: MYSA Headquarters, Komarock — off Kangundo Road
💰 Course Fee: KES 5,000
👥 Slots: Limited to 30 participants
⏳ Registration Deadline: 20th August 2026

This refresher course provides an opportunity for coaches to share practical lessons from the ground, exchange experiences and strengthen the grassroots coaching ecosystem.

CAF INTRODUCTORY COACHING COURSE – BASIC

MYSA is pleased to announce that the CAF Introductory Coaching Course (Basic) for MYSA coaches will be conducted from:

This is an opportunity for MYSA coaches to strengthen their coaching knowledge, develop their skills and continue building quality football development within our communities.

🚨🌱 MYSA Community Service Clean-Up — August 2026

📌 8th August | Korogocho Zone

Approximately 200 participants came together for a community clean-up exercise at Korogocho as part of the MYSA Environment Plus Program.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Mathare United Women FC., MYSA Korogocho players and coaches, MYSA Haba Na Haba Dance Group, and the Nairobi County Government Environment Department for making the day a great success. 👏🏾💚

The clean-up was not only about keeping our environment clean it was also about bringing the community together.

Korogocho community members joined the group in dancing and celebrating with Haba Na Haba, creating a vibrant atmosphere of unity, participation and positive energy. 💃🏾🌍

Thanks to the Nairobi County Government Environment Department for providing the equipment that supported the clean-up exercise.

📚 MYSA Slum Library Program

School holidays should be a time for children and young people to learn, grow, and explore in safe and inspiring environments. While the streets may not always provide the best place to spend quality time, our community libraries offer a welcoming space where learning comes alive.

We encourage all MYSA coaches, across every age category, to intentionally include library visits within their football schedules. Beyond developing their skills on the pitch, players can discover the joy of reading, participate in creative learning activities, and receive guidance from our dedicated library team.

Together, let's help our young people score more goals both on and off the field.

📍 MYSA Community Service Clean-Up Exercise

As part of the August school holiday activities, we have scheduled five community clean-up exercises across the following zones:

📍 Ruaraka 📍 Mathare
📍 Kahawa West📍 Korogocho📍 Kayole

All MYSA teams that participate in the scheduled clean-up exercise will earn six league points as part of the ongoing MYSA Football League.

🎯 Our Objective
To promote environmental conservation, create awareness about responsible waste management, and build safer, cleaner, and healthier communities for everyone.

📢 Important Notice
All boys' and girls' teams are encouraged to take part in the scheduled clean-up activities.

For more information, kindly get in touch with your respective zonal coordinators.

📍 Learning Through Collaboration | Library Benchmarking Visit.

Over the weekend, the MYSA Library team and teachers from Jehovah Jireh School visited the MYSA Githurai and Mathare North libraries for a benchmarking exercise aimed at strengthening library services.

The visit provided an opportunity for the teachers to engage with library users beyond the classroom, observe best practices in library management, and exchange ideas on creating vibrant, learner-centred reading spaces.

The insights gained will help enhance service delivery at the newly established Jehovah Jireh School Library, ensuring it becomes a welcoming hub for learning, reading, and personal growth.

Together, we continue investing in knowledge, literacy, and brighter futures for our communities.
