Help a child Face Tomorrow has provided approximately 7,000 life changing surgeries since its establishment, to date. In July 2011-July 2012, over 1,500 surgeries were done. The organization recruits and sends volunteer specialized medical personnel to remote and resource poor regions of Africa and Asia to provide and improve health care provision. So far, the organization has covered not only Ken

ya, but also Zambia, DRC (Congo), Uganda, Rwanda, Somalia, Cameroon and Bangladesh. In all these places there has been a great need for training and continuity of needed surgical services. Training of local doctors, nurses, anaesthesiologists and biomedical engineers is also done, to ensure capacity building and follow up treatment of patients taken care of in the camps/missions. In addition, this discourages brain drain, and the said professionals can continue providing curative as well as preventive health services to their society.
