It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our colleague and human rights defender, Lily Koech.

Lily served as InformAction’s South Rift Coordinator, making significant contributions to human rights and governance
advocacy.

We are deeply sorry for this loss and sympathize with her family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Lily will be remembered for her courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to justice.

Rest in power, Lily.

As part of the ASAL cluster under the Project, supported by European Union in Kenya, we have successfully onboarded our CACEG grantees in Bungoma County.

This milestone marks a significant step in our commitment to strengthening grassroots and county-based organisations that are at the forefront of driving change in their communities. Through this onboarding, the grantees are better positioned to implement impactful initiatives that advance accountable governance, promote gender equality, and champion environmental justice.

By investing in local capacity and leadership, we are fostering sustainable, community-led solutions that respond to the unique challenges facing ASAL regions while amplifying the voices of those most affected.
