Neglect Of mothers during labour by healthcare providers endangers both the life of the mother and the unborn baby . This as a result will lead to eroded trust in the healthcare facilities and the healthcare providers. We therefore call upon all healthcare givers to adhere to their standards of practice . No mother deserves the inhumane treatment some mothers go through in the hands of healthcare givers .

Such cases must be reported and all involved held accountable. For the posterity of Respectful Maternity Care , we call for policy reforms to protect mothers during these vulnerable moments.
