The KGGA National Patrol Cup Competition 2026 was officially open!

The opening ceremony at Kisaju Dipak Secondary School, Kajiado County was led by Chief Commissioner Rose Kioko, alongside distinguished Guiding leaders and guests. A spectacular Guard of Honour marked the occasion before the Chief Commissioner officially declared the competition open.

With hundreds of Girl Guides from across Kenya gathered, the week promises leadership, learning, teamwork, friendship, and unforgettable experiences. Here’s to empowering the next generation of changemakers!

Yesterday in Nyeri the the Kenya Girl Guides Association, led by the Nyeri County Commissioner and fellow Guides, had the honour of welcoming the granddaughter of our Founder, Lord Robert Baden-Powell, and her family during their visit to the final resting place of Lord Baden-Powell and Lady Olave Baden-Powell.
The visit was a special moment of reflection and celebration of the enduring legacy of the Founders of the Scouting and Guiding Movements. As custodians of this rich heritage, we remain committed to inspiring girls to become confident leaders and responsible citizens through the values of Guiding.

Strengthening Partnerships for Greater Impact

The Kenya Girl Guides Association was honoured to meet with the Acting CEO of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Ms. Evelyn Mitei, alongside our Chief Commissioner, and Assistant Chief Commissioner, National Executive Officer and the Programmes and Training Managet.
As one of KGGA's valued partners, TSC reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration in empowering girls and supporting the growth of Guiding across Kenya. We look forward to building on this partnership to create more opportunities for girls to thrive and become confident leaders.

The Kenya Girl Guides Association, Nakuru County, was delighted to host Girl Guides from the United Kingdom for a memorable exchange programme.

The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen international friendships, share Guiding experiences, exchange cultures, and learn from one another while celebrating the values that unite the global Guiding Movement. Together, we continue to empower girls and young women to become confident leaders and active global citizens.

Empowering Young girls and Women for a Safer Digital Future!

‎Kenya Girl Guides Association successfully conducted the NetSafe training for Ranger Guides from high and senior schools at St Elizabeth Morpus Girls, West Pokot County, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills on internet safety, responsible digital citizenship and safe online engagement.
The training was officially opened and graced by Quality Assurance and Standard Officer, Kipkomo, Madam Zipporah, whose presence and encouragement inspired the participants to become champions of online safety within their schools and communities.

‎It was inspiring to witness the enthusiasm, active participation and commitment of the Ranger Guides as they learned how to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. Together, we are nurturing a generation that is informed, empowered and ready to create a safer online environment for all.

Strengthening Guiding Friendships Across Borders!
The Kenya Girl Guides Association was delighted to host members of the Trefoil Guild Midlands Region, Girlguiding UK, at the Kenya Girl Guides Headquarters as they concluded their July 2026 visit to Kenya.
Since 2012, the Midlands Trefoil Guild has visited Kenya every two years to foster friendship, exchange ideas, share best practices in Guiding, and celebrate our shared values. This year's visit included time in Nyeri County, the home of Lord Baden-Powell and Olave, the World Chief Guide, where they continued their longstanding collaboration with the Nyeri County Trefoil Guild.

The afternoon at Guide Headquarters was filled with meaningful conversations, cultural exchange, laughter, and renewed commitment to strengthening the global Guiding sisterhood.
Together, we continue to inspire, learn, and grow across generations and borders.
