Happy Labour Day! 🇰🇪

Today, we celebrate the strength, dedication, and resilience of every worker shaping our nation.

At Dyslexia Organisation Kenya, we take a moment to recognize not just the work people do, but the unique ways they think, learn, and contribute. Neurodivergent individuals bring creativity, innovation, and fresh perspectives that deserve to be seen, supported, and celebrated in every workplace.

As we move , let’s continue building spaces where everyone can thrive regardless of how they learn or process the world.

Here’s to inclusive workplaces, empowered minds, and a future where every ability is valued. ❤️

This time, we were in Kajiado engaging 14 Principals and Deputy Principals—the very leaders shaping school culture and learning environments. And what a powerful session it was!
From unpacking dyslexia and other invisible learning difficulties to sharing practical, classroom-ready strategies, the room was filled with eye-opening moments, honest conversations, and a shared commitment to doing better for every learner. When school leaders understand neurodiversity, real change begins—policies shift, teachers feel empowered, and students finally get the support they deserve.

The biggest takeaway?
👉 Many learners are struggling in silence—not because they can’t learn, but because they’re being taught in ways that don’t work for them.
And that’s exactly why these trainings matter.
Schools that have worked with us are already seeing the difference—more inclusive classrooms, more confident teachers, and learners who are finally being understood, not labeled.

🚨 If your school hasn’t experienced this yet… you are missing out.
Our teacher and leadership trainings are still ongoing, and we’re actively working with schools and institutions across the country to build inclusive, supportive learning environments.

Dyslexia Organisation Kenya is still at it! 🔥
We recently had the incredible opportunity to train 37 teachers at Ketenga International School, and what a powerful, eye-opening session it was! From understanding phonics instruction to unpacking the realities of invisible learning difficulties, the room was filled with curiosity, growth, and those “aha!” moments that truly matter.

You could feel the shift! Teachers becoming more confident, more aware, and more equipped to support learners who are often misunderstood. Conversations around dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other neurodiverse needs sparked new perspectives, and most importantly, a deeper commitment to inclusion in the classroom.

We continue to open our doors to schools and institutions looking to empower their educators. Our trainings focus on:
✨ Understanding invisible learning difficulties
✨ Practical strategies to support neurodiverse learners
✨ Building inclusive, supportive classrooms

Let’s work together to make education accessible for all.

Dyslexia Organisation Kenya is still at it! 💪✨
As advocates for dyslexia and other learning difficulties, we are constantly pushing forward with initiatives that create real impact, and last week was no exception!

In partnership with Sir Halley Stewart Trust and Advantage Africa, we hosted an incredible 4-day Training of Trainers (TOT) and what a week it was!

From unpacking how to better support neurodivergent learners, to tackling challenging behaviours, to diving deep into structured phonics teaching sequences and drills… the room was full of energy, learning, and powerful conversations.

It wasn’t just training — it was transformation. 🔥
Educators left better equipped, more confident, and ready to make their classrooms more inclusive and effective for every learner.
