Apologetics Kenya Apologetics Kenya is passionate about equipping believers and engaging skeptics

Apologetics Kenya is passionate about how faith engages with the big questions of life in the wider context of Africa. We seek to create a platform that can spark exploration of the richness of the Christian faith. At the heart of our mission is enriching believers while engaging those of different worldviews with the goal of transforming hearts and minds. We aim to contend for the faith through monthly conversations, quarterly lectures by respectable Christian thinkers and practitioners as well as the production of resources (print and media) that can create a legacy for those who will come after us.

Was Christianity in Africa simply a product of colonialism, or is the story far more complex?

The 7th Annual African Apologetics Conference invites you to move beyond simplistic narratives and engage in one of the most important conversations facing the African Church today.

Together, we'll examine the realities of colonialismβ€”its ideologies, atrocities, genuine contributions, and its lasting impact on Christianity in Africa. We'll explore key historical events, the role of missionaries, African Christian resistance, and Scripture's transformative power in African languages.

Designed especially for Kenyan university students, this conference seeks to do more than teach history. Our goal is to equip a new generation of thoughtful, courageous Christian leaders who can engage Africa's past with honesty and its future with biblical wisdom.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE CROSS MEETS THE CONQUEST?

It’s that time of the year again! πŸŽ‰

Apologetics Kenya invites you to the 7th Annual African Apologetics Conference.

THEME: CHRISTIANITY AND COLONIALISM IN AFRICA

The Cross and the Conquest

For generations, the story of Christianity in Africa has often been reduced to a simple question:

Was Christianity imposed on Africa by colonial powers?

But what if the story is more complicated?

This year, we’re going deeper.

We’ll examine the relationship between Christianity and colonialism β€” confronting the painful history, examining the role of missionary Christianity, exploring African resistance and agency, and rediscovering the story of Christianity in Africa beyond the colonial narrative.

We’ll ask difficult questions:

Was Christianity in Africa simply a tool of colonialism?

What was the Church’s role in both the wounds and the transformation of Africa?

What can we learn from African Christians who resisted, reinterpreted, and lived out their faith within colonial contexts?

And perhaps most importantly:

How do we move forward?

This is more than a history lesson.

It is an opportunity to think deeply about our faith, our history and our identity β€” and to consider what a historically grounded, culturally authentic and Gospel-centred African Christianity can look like.

Congratulations to the 2026 Apologetics Kenya Certificate Class

Apologetics Kenya extends its heartfelt congratulations to the graduating class of the 2026 Apologetics Certificate Program on reaching this significant milestone. It was with immense joy and thanksgiving to God that we celebrated your successful completion of the program, commemorated on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at St. Paul’s University.
Your dedication, discipline, and growth in both knowledge and conviction throughout the course were truly commendable. You demonstrated a sincere commitment to the biblical call to β€œalways be prepared to give a defense for the hope that you have” (1 Peter 3:15). We trust that the training you have received will serve you well as you continue to live out and share your faith with boldness and wisdom.

As you move forward, may your foundation in Christ remain firm, your voice confident, and your witness clear. We celebrate you and look forward to seeing how God will use you in your campuses, communities, and beyond.
