The East Africa Trade & Investment Expo 2025 (EATIX Oman) is set to be a pivotal platform for strengthening trade and investment ties between East Africa and Oman. This event will bring together business leaders, policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs from both regions to explore opportunities for trade expansion and strategic collaboration.

The Expo is organized by Global Digital Technologies LLC, under the leadership of His Highness Al Sayyid Barghash Turki Saif Al Said, with logistical and administrative support from the Oman Chamber of Commerce.

EACCIA & Oman Chamber: A Strong Partnership for Success
In preparation for this highly anticipated Expo, the East African Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (EACCIA) recently held a strategic meeting with Oman Chamber of Commerce representatives in Nairobi.

During the meeting, EACCIA President Richard Ngatia reaffirmed EACCIA’s commitment to collaborating with the Oman Chamber to ensure the Expo’s success. He emphasized the vast opportunities Oman could tap into within East Africa, particularly in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda, which hold significant untapped investment potential.

Ms. Fatma Maawy, also present at the meeting, underscored the importance of engaging all East African Community (EAC) member states, including Somalia and Zanzibar, in the Expo to maximize mutual benefits. Oman Chamber has pledged full support for the Expo’s success, ensuring seamless visa processing, logistics, and high-level government representation.

The WCF Africa Summit 2025 is part of efforts to enhance trade and economic collaboration across Africa, aligning with the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which seeks to boost intra-African trade by 52.3% and add $450 billion to GDP by 2035. The launch of this summit underlines Kenya's role in fostering regional integration and positioning Africa as a global trade leader, which is crucial under the AfCFTA's framework that aims to connect 1.3 billion people across the continent.

The summit will take place from April 9-11, 2025, at the iconic Kenyatta International Convention Centre.

The launch of the WCF Africa Summit 2025 featured prominent leaders including Mr. Richard Ngatia, who is the current President of the East African Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (EACCIA) and a WCF General Council Member and former KNCCI President and ; Kiprono Kittony, EBS, who is currently the NSE Chair and has previously served as KNCCI President and WCF Vice President; Eng. Patrick Obath, Vice Chairperson of ICC Paris and Chairperson of ICC Kenya; and Ahmed Farah, HSC, the CEO of KNCCI.

Mr. Richard Ngatia, emphasized the WCF Africa Summit's role in fostering global partnerships between governments, private sectors, and chambers, highlighting its significance in global trade dynamics.

The WCF Africa Summit 2025 focuses on enhancing trade and investment, promoting sustainability, empowering youth and women, supporting MSMEs, driving innovation, and strengthening regional integration under AfCFTA.

The summit aims to position Africa as a global economic hub, leveraging regional integration to potentially increase intra-African trade by 52.3% and add $450 billion to GDP by 2035.
