Today, colleagues from SOLO and UNFPA Somalia conducted a joint field monitoring visit to the SOLO–UNFPA-supported Youth Centre and Baxnaano Safe Space Centre in Ceel Jaale 1, Jubbaland.

The visit provided an opportunity to assess the delivery of integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), Nutrition, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response services being implemented in partnership with the Jubbaland Ministry of Health.

The team engaged with frontline service providers and beneficiaries to review progress, identify implementation priorities, and strengthen the quality of service delivery.

SOLO remains committed to working closely with UNFPA, the Jubbaland Ministry of Health and Minstry of Youth and Sport to ensure that women, girls, and young people have access to quality, integrated, survivor-centred, and life-saving SRH and GBV services, while advancing community resilience and the protection of the most vulnerable.

Together, we continue to leave no one behind.

Together with FAO Kenya , SOLO held a successful introductory meeting with the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Agriculture, Pastoral Economy and Fisheries – Turkana County Government, alongside key stakeholders, to introduce the EU–PLACE Project (Pastoralism and Livestock Adaptation to Climate Change in Eastern Africa Programme). The meeting provided an opportunity to share the project’s vision of strengthening sustainable pastoral livelihoods, improving rangeland management, and expanding economic opportunities for communities.
