KNESWO Feminist Initiative is proud to join the African Sunbird Network and fellow grassroots human rights defenders in exile for a four-day Mental Health & Resilience Retreat.

Over the next four days, we will invest in healing, rest, resilience, and collective wellbeing as we continue advancing human rights and social justice.

Our sincere appreciation to the African Sunbird Network for investing in us and creating spaces that prioritize the care, safety, and wellbeing of human rights defenders.

KNESWO Feminist Initiative is proud to attend the AWID Membership Meet-Up in Nairobi—a powerful space where feminist movements come together to connect, build solidarity, and strengthen collective action for justice.

As a refugee-led feminist organization, we believe that transformative feminist movements must intentionally center the voices, leadership, and lived experiences of refugee, migrant, internally displaced, q***r, and s*x worker communities. Our presence reaffirms our commitment to feminist leadership, gender justice, s*xual and reproductive justice, climate justice, and the collective liberation of all marginalized communities.

We look forward to meaningful conversations, building new alliances, sharing our experiences, and standing in solidarity with fellow feminists who continue to challenge oppression and advance justice across our movements.

KNESWO Feminist Initiative joined the Abortion & Reproductive Justice Conference, where we participated in a safe and inclusive space exploring the relationship between abortion, s*xual and reproductive health, maternal health, and mental health.

The session created an opportunity to learn, connect, and strengthen our collective commitment to advancing reproductive justice and equitable healthcare for all. Last week, KNESWO Feminist Initiative had the privilege of joining HIAS Kenya for a Peer Learning & Networking Session.

The session provided a valuable opportunity to connect with fellow community-led organisations, exchange experiences, strengthen partnerships, and learn from one another as we continue advancing protection, inclusion, and dignity for refugee and displaced communities.

We appreciate HIAS Kenya for creating spaces that foster collaboration, shared learning, and collective impact. Together, we are stronger.

KNESWO Feminist Initiative was pleased to join the East Africa Connect networking cocktail held alongside the convening in Nairobi.

The gathering brought together changemakers, donors, civil society organizations, and ecosystem partners from across East Africa, creating a meaningful space to connect, exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and explore opportunities for collective impact.

We appreciate the organizers for creating a welcoming space that fosters collaboration and movement-building. Together, we continue advancing community-led solutions and feminist leadership across the region.
