In Kenya, the project will implement in four counties i.e Kajiado, Homabay, Siaya and Migori County. The Power to You(th) Consortium believes in the power of young people (aged under 35), especially Adolescents Girls and Young Women (AGYW), being meaningfully included in discussions and decisions. Gender norms can be changed, and not only AGYW but also boys and men, can be positive contributors to

that process of change. Together we can achieve change with regards to harmful practices, sexual and gender based violence (SGBV) as well as unintended pregnancies.

The workshop helped us reflect on PTY impact by examining changes in actions, relationships, policies, and practices, and exploring our role in bringing about those changes.

The findings of this process will go a long way in informing the pty project design and future programming.

This week, hosted , a famous Dutch writer and her daughter a renowned Dutch musician to amplify our work in promoting gender equality & youth empowerment!

In Kajiado central, we joined the local community radio morning show to showcase how art and music can promote social change. The team also met youth artistes to demonstrate how modern art can promote social change & end harmful practices in the community!

In Kajiado south, we also had an opportunity to visit our local implementing CBO and the Nice Place Foundation to see the amazing work done in providing educational opportunities & shelter to girls who are at risk of gender-based violence, especially female ge***al mutilation and early forced child marriages.
