SHORT SERMON: WHO BURNS PEOPLE IN HELL?
Many people believe that Satan rules hell and punishes sinners. However, the Bible teaches something different.
The devil is not the ruler of hell—he is a condemned enemy who will face judgment himself. The Bible says:
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." — Romans 6:23
God does not delight in destroying anyone. His greatest desire is that all people repent and receive eternal life through Jesus Christ. The final punishment of sin is not eternal life in torment, but the second death (Revelation 20:14).
As Seventh-day Adventists, we believe that God will one day completely eradicate sin, suffering, and death. Satan, sin, and all evil will be destroyed forever, and God's people will live eternally in a world made new.
Today's Appeal:
Choose Jesus today. The same God who judges sin is the God who lovingly offers salvation to everyone who believes in Him.
