Kumbatia Festival an Initiative of Kumbatia Afrika celebrates Africa's cultural heritage and artistic excellence. Using culture and art as transformative forces for social integration, we envision a peaceful, prosperous, and inclusive Africa.

Set to debut in September 2024, this lively platform and festival celebrates African storytelling and promotes cultural exchange, mutual respect, and understanding. It aims to bridge gaps and eliminate exclusion among African peoples, regardless of origin, culture, or migration experiences.

Kumbatia Afrika Peace Festival is a joyous celebration of African life, laughter, and creativity. It's a safe and inclusive space where every voice matters and diverse African identities and experiences are celebrated.

Through a myriad of engaging events: cultural exhibitions that ignite curiosity, captivating performances that express the soul of our continent, open mics that spark creativity, films that echo with stories of African experiences, and a marketplace that empowers local entrepreneurs culminating in a joyous gala, celebrating those who champion peace.

🌍 Africa is making history! The Africa Visa Openness Index has soared to its highest level yet in 2023. This remarkable progress marks a significant leap in visa openness across our continent. Four countries—Rwanda, Benin, The Gambia, and Seychelles—have taken bold steps by eliminating all visa requirements for fellow African travellers.

Imagine a future where:

- You can visit family and friends across Africa with ease. ‍‍‍
- Exploring new cultures and landscapes is just a visa-free flight away. ️
- Trade and investment flourish with seamless movement of people and goods.

Let's keep the momentum going

On Thursday last week, we commemorated the International Human Rights Day occasion with a powerful screening of "No One Leaves Home." It was an honor to have Li Fung, UN Senior Human Rights Advisor, Yusuf Hassan Mp Kamukunji, Houghton Irungu Amnesty International Kenya, and many others join us. Together, we explored the vital messages this film conveys about human rights and the challenges faced by displaced individuals. Let's continue these discussions and actions to ensure that everyone's rights are respected and upheld. Youth Voices Community - YVC Slum-Tv Kenya OHCHR Under Our Skin Film Festival Vincent Omunyin
