Kenya’s healthcare system faces significant challenges despite ongoing reforms. With 4.55% of GDP allocated to health, the sector struggles with limited infrastructure, a shortage of medical personnel, and reliance on external aid.

The country has only 1.32 hospital beds per 1,000 people and 19 medical officers per 100,000 population, highlighting gaps in service delivery.

The Ajibika cohort fellows are entering the next phase of their training, focusing on the social audit process. 📊✨

This initiative will help them understand key issues in their communities and engage effectively with policymakers. They'll conduct audits across all seven action counties, involving data collection, verification, and stakeholder engagement.

📚🔍 These insights will shape community barazas, public lectures, web app content, and media appearances, empowering youth in governance and decision-making processes.
